The Georgian Stock Exchange (GSE) is the only organized securities market in Georgia, which is designed and operated to comply with “global best practices” and offers an attractive investment environment to foreign investors.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management of daily operations, financial reporting, execution of the decisions of the Supervisory Board;
- Responsible for the preparation and monitoring of the stock trade with the securities;
- Responsible for the permanent supervision and monitoring of the activities of the stock exchange member brokerage companies, including monitoring of stock regulations and Code of Ethics;
- Responsible for the monitoring of the agreements under the treaty of Stock Exchange in accordance to the law of Georgia on “Securities Market”;
- Responsible for the constant cooperation with the supervisory board due to the timely reporting;
- Responsible for the constant relationship with the Government, Parliament, National Bank of Georgia, international financial institutions and business associations;
- Responsible for the market development, including permanent growth of trade volumes, cooperation with existing and potential issuers;
- Responsible for the constant relationship with foreign and local investors (investment and pension funds, asset management companies, brokers, dealers, investment banks) to increase the interest towards the Georgian Stock Exchange;
- Active involvement in pension reforms;
- Responsible to follow stock exchange rules and Code of Ethics;
Necessary Skills & Qualification:
- Academic education in Finance, MBA degree is preferred;
- 5+ years’ managerial experience in stock exchange and/or central depository, or investment bank and/or a brokerage company. Preference will be given to applicants with international experience;
- Fluency in Georgian and English languages is a must, knowledge of Russian will be beneficial;
- Knowledge of local as well as foreign legal regulations related to securities is a must;
- Knowledge of international practice related to securities;
- Analytical and critical thinking;
- Knowledge of Bloomberg will be a plus;
