Rooms Hotel Tbilisi is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Pastry Cook.
Department: Food and Beverage Department
Reports to: Pastry Chef
Position scope: Main responsibility of the pastry cook is to prepare pastries, deserts and baked goods.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
** At least 3 years of work experience in related field is required
** Education in Food and Beverage field is considered as a plus
** Knowledge of English language is considered to be plus
** Sound knowledge of Food and Beverage products
** Creativity is required
** Ability to work in teams
** Excellent communication skills
** Attentive enough to control several tasks simultaneously
** Strong sense of responsibility
** Clean and positive appearance
** Attentive to details.
Responsibilities:
** Creates recipes and prospective menu items
** Decorates appealingly and plats various pastries and desserts
** Prepares and serves deserts, pastries and other baked foods
** Assists the executive chef and the souse chef in preparing and serving other types of food
** Is responsible for inventory and cost control
** Is responsible to bake all bakery items for menu and catered events following standardized recipes
** Assigns specific baking tasks and directs workers in task performance
** Ensures that all deserts, pastries and baked goods are prepared and served in a timely manner
** Inspects pastry, baking equipment, and workers for cleanliness
** Ensures that the kitchen remains clean and thoroughly organized at all times
** Uses weights and measures to adjust ingredients in recipes
** Is responsible to have full knowledge of all menu plans, menu cards and special offers and their standardized recipes
** Is in charge to order the necessary raw material in time from the suppliers
** Ensures replenishment of all food on the buffet
** Responsible to check daily oven grill, shelves, refrigerators, carving boards, knives for cleanliness
** Reports all irregularities to the executive chef and the Souse Chef respectively.
** Cooperates within the entire kitchen department.
