JSC Bank Republic/Société Générale Group is pleased to announce a vacancy for the position of Senior Litigation Officer.
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the various cases for the court;
- Representation of the bank for various litigation (including, labor, recovery, administrative and in defense) cases;
- Examination of the Bank’s standard agreements to avoid future litigation risks;
- Examine legal data and summarize the cases in order to compile information for court cases;
- Manage all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement and appeal.
- Proactive approach to leading, directing and executing legal strategies for the cases raised;
- To maintain an up-to-date comprehensive knowledge of developments in the relevant areas of law, disseminate that information and any report implications for BR;
- To prepare and present briefing papers and reports/memos for the Chief Legal Officer;
- To ensure that the service is responsive to client requirements and that work undertaken is reflective of best practice and the performance targets;
- Manage relationship with the external law firm(s) involved/representing the bank in various litigation cases.
Requirements:
- Advanced university degree in law;
- Bar Exams in civil and administrative law;
- Minimum [5] year litigation experience;
- Minimum [2] year litigation experience in a banking sector (Candidates should have proven experience of acting for banks in relation to their litigation work);
- Serious sense of responsibility, exceptional reserves of concentration on the work and every detail;
- Management skills;
- Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent skills to organize relevant documents for sufficient case preparation;
- Deep knowledge of Georgian Legislation;
- Knowledge of English and/or Russian languages would be a plus.
