British Council in Georgia is pleased to announce openings for the positions of Full - time and Hourly-paid English Language Teachers at Ilia University and Rustaveli Teaching centres

British Council in Georgia is recruiting experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated English Language teachers to join our teaching team starting in September/October, 2014. We are keen to appoint individuals who can demonstrate good professional skills, are very experienced in teaching young learners and adults, have had experience of producing teaching materials and are willing to learn and develop.

To be considered, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably be qualified with either a Cambridge CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL (DESIREBLE); have at least 2 years’ post qualification teaching experience.

For all posts you must also have full mastery of English across all 4 skills equivalent to user (CEFR C2); IELTS Band 8/9 in each of 4 sections of the academic module. Previous experience in teaching Young Learners is desirable. 

Diploma qualified candidates i.e. Cambridge DELTA/Trinity DipTESOL and/or YL Extension to the CELTA/BCTYLEC certificate holders are preferred.

At the British Council in Georgia we teach from Beginner to Advanced, IELTS preparation and Professional English. There are opportunities for our teachers to get involved in teacher training work as well.
